Outstanding Art Show at St Benedict's
Fine art, photography, film, printmaking, sculpture, 3-D and graphic design - St Benedict's GCSE and A level Art and Design coursework was an astonishing display of talent, imagination, skill and creativity.
A GCSE piece has been selected for the Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show. Antosh Hanc’s ‘5 a day’ was inspired by Damien Hirst’s ‘Last Supper’, and is a reflection on our relationship with food and healthy lifestyles. The still-life bowl depicts the silhouettes of fruit in which food supplements and their packaging are represented, raising questions about how people achieve a healthy lifestyle today.
Work by Chloe Oduah, Bethan Yates, Catherine McColgan and Aggie Bright was selected for the shortlist of 700.
