Pastoral Care
Caring for the individual
St Benedict’s provides a distinctive education in a happy, caring community. From the very beginning pupils receive lots of individual support, from their tutor, Head of Year, subject teachers and fellow pupils.
Every pupil has a personal tutor, who monitors their academic progress as well as their happiness and wellbeing at school. One-to-one meetings with tutors take place regularly, offering encouragement and support so that each individual can thrive.
The personal tutor works with their tutees’ Form Tutor and Head of Year to ensure that everyone under their care is fulfilling their academic and personal potential.
A qualified counsellor and a school chaplain are also available to pupils.
