UK bebras computing challenge - gold awards
48 St Benedict's students have received Gold awards in the recent UK Bebras Computing Challenge and are now eligible to participate in the Oxford University Computing Challenge in January 2024.
The Bebras Computing Challenge is designed to get students all over the world excited about computing, with around 365,000 students taking part across the UK, and over 3 million worldwide.
Completed online at school, the Bebras Challenge introduces computational and logical thinking to students through a range of questions, allowing them to develop a range of problem-solving skills.
Bebras has taught me valuable problem-solving skills and highlighted a fun side of computational thinking. Bebras has enhanced my skills at abstracting problems to remove unnecessary details, and decomposing them into smaller, easier problems.
