St Benedict's Printmaking Workshop

St Benedict’s hosted an art workshop for children from four Ealing primary schools on February 5th.
Everyone enjoyed a morning of creativity in the Art Department, focusing on Ealing's architecture. Taking the colours and textures of bricks, tiles and slates as inspiration, each young artist created one half of a semi-detached house, adding patterns and textures using a variety of objects and shapes, filling in detail and finer texture using pen.
The workshop was a lovely opportunity for children to meet fellow year 5 pupils from other schools; to take a closer look at the architectural detail of Ealing’s houses, and to spend a whole morning working on an art project.
Thanks to St Benedict’s art teacher Miss Linton for leading the workshop, and to all the teachers, parents and children who took part.
